Description of the Collection:

• Contemporary rug production

• Hand knotted in Iran

• Cotton warp and weft, wool pile

• Hand spun wool

• Natural dyestuffs

• Natural sun patina

• Knots per square yard:

• Sultanabad quality rugs - approx 134,000 to 167,000 knots/yd²

• Mohajeran and Mahal Ziegler quality rugs - approx 167,000 to 209,000 knots/yd²

• Tabriz quality rugs - approx 250,000 to 293,000 knots/yd²  

• The workshops do not employ children under the age of 14

• Each rug bears the Monogram CB (Chevalier - Bayat)

Custom Rug Orders:

• Rug made to desired dimensions above a minimum of 9ft. 10in. x 6ft. 7in.

• The size of the rug may vary by 4 to 8 inches.

• There are about 70 available designs.

• A scale drawing is supplied for each rug.

• Samples of wool are supplied for color choices.

• Clients have the ability to change the cartoons (i.e.: change of borders, addition or deletion of a pattern, change of colors).

• Time-scale: (the time-scale indicated may vary as the natural patina corresponds to the amount and strength of sunshine in different seasons)
